HEY TO ALL!
I guess everyone is either overseas, enjoying themselves or mugging for accreds huh? I wanna go overseas too /: *envy* Anyway, Katty ask me to upload the notes I got for the last page of OA notes,the "Care of Maps and compasses". I think the ma'ams are gonna go through during the extra lessons. Well, I just post it here then.
CARE OF MAPS AND COMPASSESDo's and Don'ts
a) Do
water-proof the map with talc before using it.
b) Do
remove the talc and unfold the map after it has been used.
c) Do
store the compass in a proper manner - away from magnetic sources and from each other.
d) Don't
fold a map unnecessarily. If a map has to be folded, do it such that
the folds are along the same fold-lines made in the past.e) Don't
draw or write on a map.
f) Don't
drop a compass.g) Don't place the compass
in a strong magnetic field.

Time: 1330 - 1530/1630 (depends on ma'am)

-OA Notes
-Cotton Twine
-Nylon Rope
-Bamboo Poles
For your information, this is gonna be our last practical with the ma'ams before the accreds. So, must give it our best shot! :D
Anyway, there's gonna be outdoor cooking before the extra lessons. But it's not going to be conducted by the ma'ams but we ourselves. :D So anyone who wants to practise outdoor cooking with us, contact me. If not we won't wait for you. :P We are going to school earlier to cook for our lunch. These are the details for the outdoor cooking:
Date: 13 November, Tuesday (Same day)
Time: 0930- ???? (until everyone cooking finish lar! :D)
Things to bring:
-1 set of Mess tins
-1 packet of instant noodles
-Solid fuels
-Own utensils (preferabley just a pair of fork and spoon)
- A container ( to keep your food in case you cannot finish it.)
-Cif
-Stove (die die also must bring arh!)
Yup thats all. :D I will not bring any extra items for anyone other than the stoves i that i am about to receive from justina for some of us later. I will only provide matchsticks. The noodles will be our lunch for the day! Happy mugging!
